Upgrading a PA5 system to an equivalent PA20 system
Instead of replacing your PA5 system you can upgrade your existing PA5 system to a PA20 equivalent system. This means that you will re-use the cable drum and extension leads, the remote probes, jump leads and the mobile probes from your PA5 system. Any PA5 mobile probe will need a PA20 probe support plate to be fitted for use with the PA20 beams.
You will also be able to re-use the RM15 Mounting Kit, AD1, AD3 and MPX15 from your RM15/PA5 system as these are compatible with the PA20 system. The AD2 and AD4 adapters have different connectors for use with the PA20 so please contact for advice regarding this.
If you want to keep the old PA5 frame as a backup, the cable drum, remote probes and mobile probes can be used with either system but you must use the appropriate fasteners for the mobile probes depending on whether being used with PA5 or PA20.
Ordering Upgrade Components
1 Order an upgrade kit from PA5 to PA20 (part no. 017-017). This includes the PA20 frame, 0.5 m beam, 1m beam and 2 x PA20 support plates.
2 You will need to order an additional PA20 support plate (part no. 604-076) for each additional PA5 mobile probe that you want to use with the PA20.
3 Extra PA20 probes (part no 019-023) may be required depending on the arrays you wish to achieve.
4 You will need to order an additional PA20 beam 1.5m (part no. 019-019) to create a system that is the equivalent of the old PA5 system with medium wings.
5 You will need to order an additional PA20 beam 2.0m (part no. 019-020) to create a system that is the equivalent of the old PA5 system with long wings.
6 Spare rectangular bracket (003-013) to fit RM15 to PA20 unless re-using existing bracket from PA5.
